We are thrilled to announce the return of Positivity by Post’s Christmas Card Project, bringing festive cheer and uplifting messages to children spending the holidays in hospitals. Last year, our project was a resounding success, and with your support, we managed to send over 400 handmade Christmas cards to ill children across various hospitals and hospices.
The response was overwhelmingly positive! Not only did Barwell Community House hold a special card-making day and contribute 150 beautiful cards, but we also received donations from various groups and individuals eager to spread joy during the festive season. The hospitals and hospices were incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and creativity. How You Can Get Involved We’re calling on you to join us again this year and help us make the project even bigger and better. It’s simple: create your own Christmas cards - whether using stickers, coloured paper, pens, or anything that sparks your creativity. Let your imagination run wild and craft fun, bright, and heart-warming cards. While designing your card, please include: - Uplifting messages or perhaps a silly festive joke. - A big, cheerful Merry Christmas! However, we ask that you avoid phrases like "get well soon", as we want the focus to be on spreading joy, hope, and festive cheer. Signing Your Cards Once you’ve created your cards, sign them with the following message: From, Positivity by Post If you wish, you can add your name as well, but the key is making sure the message comes from all of us here at Positivity by Post, spreading positivity far and wide. Send Us Your Cards You can make as many cards as you’d like and send them to us. Please contact us for the postal address, and aim to get your cards to us by the end of November so we can ensure they reach the children in time for Christmas. Why Your Cards Matter Spending the festive season in a hospital can be tough for anyone, especially children. Your handmade cards bring a little bit of Christmas magic to their hospital beds, reminding them that they’re in our thoughts. A simple card with a heartfelt message can bring a smile to their faces and light up their day. Thank you so much for your continued support! Let’s make this year’s project even more special and send positivity to as many children as possible. If you have any questions or need more information, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us. We can’t wait to see all the amazing cards you create!

WOW! I can’t believe I’m writing this post, but… I WON!! 🎉 The BBC Making a Difference Award in the Community Category is now a reality, and I’m beyond grateful, humbled, and overwhelmed with emotion. The reality of winning hasn’t quite sunk in yet, but I wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported Positivity by Post and been a part of this incredible journey. 💖
A Huge THANK YOU from the Bottom of My Heart First and foremost, I want to say a massive thank you to every single person who has supported this little project since it started in May 2020. Whether you’ve nominated someone for a care package, shared kind words, or simply followed the journey, you’ve all played a role in getting me to this point. Your love and encouragement mean the world to me, and I couldn’t have done this without you! It still feels surreal to have been chosen for such a prestigious award, especially considering the amazing people and projects who were also nominated. Winning this award is a reflection of all the kindness and positivity we’ve created together. The Journey of Positivity by Post: 3,000 Care Packages and Counting! Looking back on the past four years, I’m in awe of how far Positivity by Post has come. What started as a small project to bring a little bit of joy to those struggling during difficult times has grown into something much bigger. Since May 2020, I’ve sent out over 3,000 care packages across the UK! 🎁✨ Each package has been a token of love, hope, and positivity, and it’s been a true privilege to connect with so many incredible people. We’ve supported local causes, sent Christmas cards to severely ill children in hospital, and continued spreading kindness to those who need it most. This project has helped me as much as it has helped others, too. For those who may not know, I’ve also been on my own journey of recovery from Agoraphobia. The last four years have been incredibly challenging, but they’ve also been filled with so many amazing moments that I will cherish forever. This award feels like a beautiful milestone on that path. A Special Thanks to Lainey and Virdi 💕 I’d also like to give a very special shoutout to Lainey, who nominated me for the award! Thank you so much for believing in me and the work I do—it means more than I can say. And a massive thank you to Virdi from the last series of The Apprentice, who was my category judge and picked me as the winner. I’m so honored and grateful to have been chosen. What’s Next for Positivity by Post? Winning this award has given me so much motivation to keep going and growing Positivity by Post. I’m excited to see where the future takes this project, and I’m more determined than ever to continue spreading kindness and positivity to those who need it. There are so many more care packages to send and so much more love to share! 💖 Thank You Again—This Is Only the Beginning! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I truly can’t express how grateful I am for all the support, love, and positivity that have come my way. Winning the BBC Making a Difference Award is a dream come true, and it’s all because of YOU. To everyone who has been part of this journey, whether you’ve received a care package or helped spread the word about the project—this win is for you too. Let’s keep spreading love, kindness, and positivity, one care package at a time! With all my love, hugs, and endless gratitude, Charlotte xx Founder, Positivity by Post On Friday, 30th August, I had the incredible opportunity to be featured on BBC Morning Live to talk about the project. It was one of the most surreal and exciting moments of my life, and I’m so grateful to have had the chance to share my story with a larger audience. Being live on TV is something I never imagined I’d do, but it was such a great experience that I had to write about it!
Nerves, Excitement, and Gratitude When I first found out that I would be on BBC One, I couldn’t believe it! It felt like such a huge platform to be able to speak about the project, and I was both nervous and excited. The days leading up to the interview were a whirlwind of preparation, and I definitely had my fair share of anxious moments. But I kept reminding myself that this was an amazing opportunity to talk about the impact Positivity by Post has had, and the importance of spreading kindness. The team at BBC Morning Live was wonderful and helped calm my nerves. They were so supportive and genuinely interested in what Positivity by Post is all about. That made it so much easier for me to focus on sharing my passion for the project. Talking About Positivity by Post During the segment, I had the chance to explain what Positivity by Post is all about—how it started as a small project to send out care packages to people struggling, and how it has grown into something much bigger. I also got to share some of the heartfelt messages I’ve received from people who’ve been touched by the care packages. These stories are the reason I keep doing what I do, and it was amazing to bring them to a national audience. What made the moment even more special was the focus on how simple acts of kindness can make such a big difference in someone’s life. Whether it’s a kind word or a thoughtful package, it’s all about letting people know that they’re not alone in whatever they’re going through. BBC Making A Difference Award Nomination I also talked about my recent nomination for the BBC Making A Difference Award in the Community Category with BBC Radio Leicester. This nomination was such an unexpected and humbling honor. Being recognized for something that I do out of love and a desire to help others feels amazing, but it’s also a reflection of the strength and resilience of the people who have reached out to Positivity by Post. The nomination shines a light on the importance of community and how we can all come together to support one another, especially in challenging times. Reflecting on the Journey Looking back, I’m so proud of what Positivity by Post has become, and being on BBC Morning Live was a real milestone. The experience reaffirmed for me that there’s a need for more kindness in the world, and I feel even more motivated to continue growing the project and reaching more people. For anyone watching who may be struggling, my message was simple: you are not alone. Whether it’s through a small package of positivity or a message from someone who cares, there’s always a little bit of hope to be found. And that’s the heart of what Positivity by Post is all about—spreading kindness, one package at a time. Thank You for the Support! I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported Positivity by Post, whether by sending in a kind word, nominating someone for a package, or just by spreading the message. Your encouragement means the world to me, and it’s what keeps this project going. And of course, a big thank you to BBC Morning Live for giving me the platform to share my story. I can’t wait to see where Positivity by Post goes next! If you missed the show, don’t worry! You can still catch it on BBC iPlayer and hear more about the project. And as always, if you know someone who needs a little positivity in their life, feel free to nominate them for a care package—let’s keep spreading kindness together! Love and gratitude, Charlotte :) Hey everyone,
I’ve got some exciting news to share – I’ve been nominated for the Community category of BBC Radio Leicester’s Make a Difference Award! Can you believe it? It’s such an honor to be recognized for something that means so much to me, especially when it all started from a pretty rough time in my life. Back in May 2020, during the first lockdown, my mental health wasn’t in the best place. One day, out of the blue, my younger sibling sent me a surprise parcel, and it was such a boost for my spirits. That little act of kindness inspired me to start Positivity by Post. Since then, we’ve sent out over 1,500 care packages all across the UK, spreading a bit of joy to those who need it most. The support from our local community in Hinckley has been absolutely incredible. Huge shoutout to Morrisons, Asda, and Tescos for their generous donations – I couldn’t have done it without you! And it’s not just about the packages; we’ve also been able to help local services supporting vulnerable people. During the lockdown, we teamed up with Feed the Hungry in Hinckley to include care packages with their food parcels for families in need. Recently, we sent packages to Leicester Rape Crisis to support the amazing women there, and we’ve even linked up with the job centre for referrals. One of my favorite moments was last Christmas when we decided to spread some festive cheer. We made and distributed over 400 handmade Christmas cards to local hospitals, hospices, and care homes. Seeing the smiles on the faces of severely ill children and other vulnerable individuals was just priceless. A big thank you to Barwell Community House for hosting a Christmas card-making day – we managed to make 250 cards in just one day! None of this would be possible without the incredible donations and support from all of you. Your kindness and generosity have made such a difference, and I’m so grateful. The award ceremony is on September 5th, and I’m so thrilled to have even been nominated. Thank you all for your support – it means the world to me. Fingers crossed! With love and gratitude, Charlotte
